Welcome To....Walking In Dreamtime

Blessings and a huge thank you for coming by. I wish you a very Joyous and Contented Holiday Season. It was time for a major facelift to my blog here, to add a bit of Light to reflect the energy level that all of us are projecting, as we face ascension together. There was another reason and I might discuss that in a bit more detail in the Mind Excursions section below.

You will also note that the URL remains the same: "dark_scriptor". All I can say is that one can't run from their shadows. It can serve as a valuable ally and grant a somewhat different perspective on our own creative endeavors. I'm never one to throw away valuable writing tools.

It has been a very busy week for most of us, as we tackle the often hectic Holiday schedules and still try to set the time aside for our meditation work and our spiritual growth. Often we don't realize it, but we are pesented with numerous opportunities every day to take a few minutes and engage in an activity that feeds one's soul.

One of my personal solutions to getting this time, during a fairly busy schedule, is something most of us do as well. Sliding in a Solitudes CD and sitting back, or perhaps Spanish guitar but my personal favorite is classical music, particularly from the Baroque Period. I find the music is quite conducive to some great visualization work, as I lean back and close my eyes.

For pure relaxation, I like to use Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata". If you are interested into stepping into my world, I am including the actual visual component to this 6 minute meditation. If you like this piece by Beethoven and have it - and if you're willing to try this visualization - please read through to it's entirety and then toss on the music and enjoy.....

You materialize inside the doorway to a long rectangular white room. The ceiling is high, almost twenty feet above you, while two sets of double glass doors along the far wall are swung open to admit bright shafts of moonlight. Soft white curtains blow gently on the cool night breeze and then you're drawn to the central focus of the room.

A gleaming black concert piano sits diagonally, about ten feet in front of you. At the keys, an adrogonous (or male or female, it's up to you) piano player is seated, dressed in a tuxedo and tails, sporting a black snap brim hat that casts shadows on the face.

This is the entire visualizaton. As to its application, allow your creative mind free reign. Personally, I love floating in the air, above the piano, setting down just inside one of the open doors and taking in the brisk air coming from the beach below. Moonlight turns the water silver, making it seem alive with diamonds, and I like to walk outside and lean on the cement ballistrade that overloooks the surging surf below. It's quite incredible just leaning inside the door, as well, hearing the surf and watching the piano player pour out his beauty...and all bathed in moonlight.

The key here, as you can see, is to have fun and relax. Don't worry about getting it perfect. You're gong to find the images will just happen, without any prompting.

So think about it....Moonlight Sonata is about 6 1/2 minutes long so it does give you a mini nap time. Instead of hurried thoughts of tasks not completed, we can set them aside for a few minutes to feed our true souls. This may have given you some of your own ideas to apply to your fave music and if so, please drop me a line and let me know how it went.

Russian government licenses faith healers
Mikhail Fadkin claims he can cure a long list of disorders — pancreatitis, bronchitis, digestive problems, even infertility — by using his hands to manipulate what he describes as a person's "bio-energy field." Many laugh at such ideas and might call him a quack. But the 63-year-old healer, who practices out of an office in a Moscow suburb, holds a license from the Russian government.

Blind man navigates maze
Scientists have discovered that a blind person can navigate through a maze of obstacles unaided using intuition alone. The man, left blind by a stroke, was able to walk around chairs and boxes without bumping into them using hidden pathways in the brain.

Ontario: ice-circles at Sheridan Creek
On Saturday morning, December 13, 2008, research director and amateur photographer Brook Tyler was walking across Sheridan Creek in the Rattray Marsh Conservation area in the Greater Toronto Area when he stumbled upon a strange feature within the thin ice covering the waters.

Maitreya rising?
There was a very strange announcement made recently in the form of a press release posted on the Dow Jones & Company’s Market Watch website dated December 12, 2008, that bears mentioning, if for no other reason, because it reads like something from a supermarket tabloid. Come to think of it, didn’t Rupert Murdoch just buy Dow Jones & Company not long ago? If you’re not aware, they also publish, among other things, the Wall Street Journal. The article in question titled, "Share International Reveals Christmas Miracle", advises readers to prepare for a coming miracle that all of us will see in the sky shortly before the “emergence of Maitreya and his group, the Masters of Wisdom.”

A Christmas ghost story: the spectral dog of Soho
Paranormal author Elliot O' Donnell was a master at collating macabre and mysterious tales. In his fascinating book Casebook Of Ghosts (1969) he mentions several phantom dog apparitions said to have haunted the capital. One of the most intriguing of these ghosts involved a friend of the author who encountered an apparition at the old Motley Club, once located in Dean Street, Soho.

A time traveler's lost timepiece?
China: Archaeologists excavating a Ming dynasty tomb have called in experts after being baffled by a discovery of a watch ring with 'Swiss' engraved on the back. The archaeologists are currently working a documentary with two Shangsi journalists, and are puzzled as to the origins of the timepiece. It is thought that the site had not been disturbed since its creation four centuries ago. Watches, before their inexpensive miniaturization in the 20th century, were mostly pocket watches, which often had covers and were carried in a pocket and attached to a watch chain or watch fob. Watches evolved in the 1600s from spring powered clocks, which first appeared in the 1400s.

The little people of Iceland
In Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, road workers are wary of blasting out any kind of foundation for a roadbed. They are honestly scared they may disturb the little folks. With boiling geysers, wind-blasted precipices, frozen barrens and razor-sharp lava rock, this is not what hinders construction workers. They are actually more concerned about the dwelling places of the little people.
